Breeding Carpet python

Hi i am looking to get started breeding my carpet python i was wondering how hard it is i have bred leos before but im sure thats nothing compared to snakes just wondering if anyone has some pointers

carpets are usually quite straight forward to breed

you cool them down for brumation then introduce the male to the female and they will do the rest themselves

then you just collect the eggs incubate and you should have some nice carpet babys


what age are your carpets ?

male is 4 yrs i dont have a female yet

imo females can be bred at 4 years of age i personally preffer to leave it till 5 years of age.i am overly cautious though mate and others do it different

that said if i had a female that was rather large at 3 years of age i may consider it.

so its really based on the individual snake imo
