Hi Everyone,

I am saving up for a ball python and doing some research on what I need beforehand. I am wondering if they need UVb/UVA lighting.........gosh I feel like I get kind of mixed things with what I read and what not. So I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Also if anyone actually has any good tips for the whole beginning cage setup I am all ears!

Thanks for your help :)

No need for uv bulb, just a heat bulb. I use ceramic bulbs for all my snakes with pulse proportional thermostats. You will need a four foot viv for an adult ball in my opinion, lots of hides, large water bowl that they can get their whole body into.

Any other questions just ask, lots of helpful people on here.

you dont even need a light if you dont want one. just use a under the tank heater and if you would like some light just use a red or blue light for the night time.

Lights are a waste of time for BP.. They hide all day anyhow.
