I saw an advery for a mature female Coastal Carpet python yesterday. She was being sold soooo cheaply I couldn`t resist! I`m not quite ready for her but I have a spare four foot tank she can go in for now. She`s beautiful and she`s mean. Since losing my female Blood, then plan has been to sell my huge male Blood, then get another female Carpet so I`ve got two females and a male. As I say I saw the advert for this one and just HAD to bring things forward a little! Here she is....

Judging by the four foot vivs she`s in front of there I`d say she`s about seven feet. She`s got a right attitude aswell! I got shown a load of Cobras and Eyelash vipers and all sorts too, a really, really cool snake room that guy had!! I`m looking forward to getting this girl settled for a few months and then breeding her with my big Jungle Jaguar Arni :) Oh and I should explain the Mrs Norman thing shouldn`t I lol When I asked what her name was because I might keep it, he said I`m not sure you`ll like it. That snake there is Norman, and she is called Mrs Norman lol Well.... I think that`s quite cool so I`m going to keep it :)

Cheers :) I`m really pleased to have her! I quite like the fact she`s mean too. I can see why people steer toward more and more dangerous snakes. I had to deal with my big Blood yesterday, he seems to double in size every time I see him! lol Now HE`S mean. I just enjoy having to deal with big p`d off snakes now, my heart used to race when I did it but not now. I had a mate in the room too when I had the Blood out, he tried to film it but was litterally quaking in his boots and was shaking too much to film anything useful! lol It`s amazing what you can get used to, my heart barley started going faster while I was dealing with him lol :)

Yeah there is a rush when your dealing with a big old nasty snakes. They are definetely more interesting to deal with, compared to your run of the mill lazy friendly snake. Dont get me wrong i love the docile guys as they are what helps get people into snakes. They were and will always be some of my favourite snakes in my collection.

Ha ha! My brothers name is Norman, he is much older than me and he screams like a little girl when he sees a snake! We should introduce them ;)

I can see how people get addicted to carpets. I saw some real beauties at the reptile show over the weekend. Congrats!

Cheers! Yeah they`re a decent sized snake, exciting to handle because of the slightly highly strung temperment and stunningly beautiful! You can`t really ask for more than that can you? :)
