Irridescence in Boas

ok someone or everyone explain it to . goob, bad, common, rare, whatever. my new 6 ft girl just shed and she has lots. thought it was just from being in shed but it really stands out now. yeah im a noob to boas but im trying to learn.

The scale splits light in much the same way as a prism does. When light is split by a prism or water or a snakes scales, it is broken down into it`s constituent parts, namely, the rainbow colours we see! :)
