Anyone out there that has one of these may be able to help.

Our guy keeps jumping up and hanging off the guard for the ceramic heater. Whilst hanging he seems to be just looking around our living room and taking in the view.

Are these guys better having higher perches so that they can "be nosey"?? am wondering if he should have more climbing stuff in the viv?

THanks for any advice.

Im not an experienced monitor owner (never owned any myself), but do have friends with spencers and goannas and they have given them branches, perches and rocks to climb on. Their cages are very large and rival my scrubs enclosure for height. I dont know if its necessary but they do seem to enjoy it and play on them quite often. Im sure others will have more advice (prob better too lol) and more species specific

Monitors in general are very inquisitive and alert to their surroundings.

so yes, a ramp / platform so that Arthur can see what is going on would be something he would enjoy.
