Chocolate fire crested
Awesome! Always great to see more people with cresties! Not that they're rare by any means but they are supercool reptiles to keep!! You'll have fun!

Thanks you guys!
Yeah Jess, I'm looking forward to keeping a crestie! =]
Kenny
Yeah no doubt! Great to see you on the rhacs forum as well!:)
Don't forget to post some pics of him when he's really fired up! Looks like he's going to have some nice dark sides there. I love the white fringe on his back legs as well. Mine has the same trait. I'll get some pics of my crestie and chewie for ya. ;) One of my favourtie things about my crestie is that he never looks exactly the same, his colours are always different! Even my chameleon doesn't have the same claim to fame in my collection, haha. ;):D
Be warned! They are super addictive!
(Hah, like you didn't already know that about reptiles!)

Yeah it's pretty cool. His previous owner suggested going on rhacs.
What do you mean "really fired up"? He's got quite the personality...a difficult one, he doesn't seem to like to have his picture taken.
Ooo yay pictures!! =]
Oh yes! all reptiles are turning out to be very addictive!!

When cresties 'fire up' their colour changes from a (usually) dull-ish one to a (usually) bright, or high contrast pattern. They can even 'fire' totally different colours (ie red to olive). See how Gary's sides are grey? They could possibly fire to a deep black or a dark brown. When my gecko isn't fired up, she is a light tan/buckskin colour and she fires to dark brown, mahogany, grey, a lighter tan sometimes, red and the list goes on. Also he tiger stripes sometimes really come out and sometimes you can't see them at all. Check out some threads on Rhacs and maybe you can find some pictures of geckos fired up and down so you can compare.
Sorry about the rambling haha!
