Hi there,

Just a quick one...........I went travelling in Australia 18 months ago, and came across this snake. (attached)

I have no idea what it is or if it is venomous. Please help if possible.

Many Thanks

Just a thought, maybe you've already done this--did you try googling Australian snakes in images? It's hard for us to tell from the photo. Are we seeing the bottom, top, or side of the snake? Was it solid yellow (as it appears in the photo) or striped or ???

Good luck figuring it out!

And here ---> Snakes Harmful & Harmless - WA Snake ID (http://members.iinet.net.au/~bush/ID_index.htm)
is an even better website that has good quality pictures of some Australian snakes. Be sure to let us know when you find it!

Thanks guys.

The closest I have come to identifying it - is as an Australian Green Tree Snake. I've seen several pictures and it appears that it is one! Although mine was rather more Olive in colour!

Mystery solved!

Thanks again
