Why does a moderator have to check the messages i post before they get posted??

Hi Malice,

Just wanted to answer your question, since it does get asked a lot. All new members first couple of posts are moderated in order to keep the spammers off the forum. I wish I did not have to moderate any posts since it can be a lot of work some days, but if I did not spammers would quickly over run the forum with posts for everything from electronics to drugs. This way I am the only one who has to see the spam and members get a cleaner forum. Thanks for asking and for joining our little forum.

I don't think Boots was talking about the selling of illegal drugs.

I think he was referring to the selling of legal drugs made by pharmaceutical companies. I have seen such spam before on other sites and in my email. It appears to be one of the more common types of spam out there.
