I have a reticulated python that was given to a friend and now she wants to find a experienced home for him he is about 3ft right now. She is a new snake owner and after researching her gift relized it was to much snake for her. She has given him to me but I have kenyan sand boas and am not ready for such a big snake. I feel so bad for the cute little thing. Its not his fault he gets so big. I wish I was able to keep him myself but I researched my snakes very carefully and found the kind of snake that best fit me and my lifestyle and know I cant care for him the way he should be cared for. I will sale for $100 he is a gorgous snake and I can email pics if you like.Only experienced large boid handlers only please. Or if you have any ideas how I can find him a good home that would be great.

I think I pasted this already but you may want to resize them to a 680xsomething or other resolution then get a photobucket account and you can upload pics to that site, then paste the links directly in to your post.

Good luck on finding a home, finding someone with the experience to take it may take a little doing though. LOL

Not everyone.....but there's a fair amount of people out there that don't quite grasp the concept of a "big" snake. Why you see a lot people buying and 6 months to a year down the road those same people are trying to offload them.

I know this is the wrong forum but I am going to address the snake in your photo as it's a bit concerning to me. That little BP is extremely under weight. Snakes should be round in body shape not triangle. How long have you had it? What's it eating /how often??
Also is it going to shed??? It looks really dehydrated.

P.S. You have a PM

Yeah I know I just got this little guy and yes he was very under fed and I am feeding him twice a week to get him back on track he is starting a shed and I am spraying reptispray on him a few times a day to get some electrolytes back in him. He is sick but on his way to a better life. I was astonished by the way he was cared for they had a repticarpet down that had never been cleaned and a petrified mouse in there they just left. It was the most horrible thing I ever saw. They were only feeding him a small mouse every two months. And his water bowl was descusting. Poor little guy. I seem to take in a lot of mistreated snakes. I cant bear to see them not cared for correctly!!!! I'm working to get him back to good health. That was the wrong pic he is a ball python as said above.

Much of the blame is to be shared by unscrupulous pet stores and dealers who encourage people to buy baby burmese, red tailed and other large snakes without impressing on them the responsibility involved when the 12" snake becomes a 21' behemoth.

Oh for all you who didn't already know I found a home for the retic. An old friend who has the experiance and time to give him a good home. I also found a home for the ball python as soon as he is better! I will be driving him to his new home myself when the time is right and he is healthy again! Thanks everyone I really feel good about knowing there are other people who care as much as I do! Thanks again!
