I was jsut curious, what is the longerst you have witnessed a Burm go between bowel movements. I have had my granite burm for 6 weeks now. He ate every 7 days for four weeks and then I stopped offering him food because he had not defacated. It has now been two weeks and still no defacation. He is an 06 baby and around 3'. His temps are 88high, 78 low with a basking spot right around 90 and his humidity is around 80%. I have kept burms for14 years or so and this is the first time I have had this issue. There is no noticable lump which would make me believe he is imacted. He has passed urates and urine twice. I have tried soaking him twice in warm water for an hour each time and still nothing. Could his digestion be fully utilizing the prey and there isn't anything to excrete. I personally don't think so but I am baffled. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Todd

I too have seen them hold on it for a month or a little longer....if he starts looking swollen in the lower 3rd of his body, that's when the warm water soakings will help ease it out so to speak...LOL. Sounds likes he's still doing alright though, like Sam said just keep an eye on him.

Temperatures and also humidity directly effect digestion. Personally I'd get the cool side up to at least 80 closer to 82 if possible.
It could also very well be him getting used to his new feeidng schedule and amounts. New acquisitions can take a while to get on a regular schedule defication wise.
Has he shed yet? many times also when newer. they will hold until they shed.
