i dont know if this is a really stupid idea or not but here goes...i have a lg enclosure for my anery corn so i have an upside down frizbee that i use for his water dish and i was wondering if i put a little fedder goldfish or 2 in there...would he eat them? would it harm him at all? just want to add a little variety to his diet, any suggestions? anyone?

goldfish are generally not recommended as good feeders. im not exactly sure why this is but i think it may have something to do with a bacteria they posess. they may be used sparingly to get an aquatic or semi-aquatic species of snake to start feeding, but i really would advise against feeding them to a corn.

Corn snakes get everything they need from a diet of mice, feeding goldfish to a corn snake is pointless, they probably wouldn't want it and it might contain bacteria that they don't need etc. The mouse is a very balanced diet if the whole thing is fed so don't give your snake fish.

Not something they would eat in the wild & not something they would eat in captivity either. By doing so would cause more harm than anything. Gold fish are dirty, would you like one swimming around in your drinking water pooping in it? added foreign bateria & pathogens? NO you wouldn't & neither does your snake Mark
