View Full Version : Fooled by a creasted
I have been useing an egg laying box for my female creasted gecko, but she keeps on tricking me. When it is late at night or early on the morning, I go to look
at the tank and I see her in the egg box diging then a few hours later I go to check in the box and there is no eggs. Could anyone help me with this.

Females will dig for a few dyas before they lay.. possibly longer... they like to try and find the "best" spot....
You know she is sitting there and looking at you and thinking.. Ha!!!! Fooled you!!! :D
It is nice to know that, I gess she is thinking that way.

Hey Grove, just wanted to say at least yours is digging. My females I swear they hate me!!! They haven't started digging or anything. The one should be getting close...ahhhhh....the wait for eggs is killing me. I can only imagine the wait for the eggs to hatch!

Patience is a virtue... but its very hard to come by! I think waiting for the eggs to hatch would be the hardest and worrying whether the eggs are good or not!

Your right, patience is a virture...not one that I managed to get the knack of as a kid, and now at 23 I'm not to sure I'm ever going to. Your right the wait for eggs will be even worse. I'm especially paranoid as all my leopard geckos eggs ended up molding last year. I think I will cry if that happens again. But its all a learning experience and eventually I will figure it out.
Your are right, the wait for the eggs will be hard. I just hope they won`t mold, and if there is a way of proventing that than could someone please tell me. Because I want to be prepared for the worst.
