I have a crested with a swollen hind leg. she somewhat drags it when she climbs and only slightly uses it to push off. otherwise she lets it dangle. it hasn't stopped her from climbing, she even still crawls around upside down on the screen top. my experience with mbd was they couldn't climb much at all so I am thinking an injury maybe? she is eating fine and acting ok otherwise. any suggestions to what it could be and what I should do? we have no vet available to treat reptiles here. :medfrown:

What you describe happened to us with one we had purchased. It appeared she broke her leg and we had the vet check her out. The vet said that she had broke her leg but it way too tiny to splint up and it would stay swollen for around a month (which it did). It probably is the early stage of mbd as it affects the bones first and for a crestie to break a bone, it probably has a weakness starting.
Since then, I have always put pure calcium in their enclosures as it is my understanding that they can not overdose on the pure stuff.
For the little one you are talking about, I would make sure you give extra calcium in her food and either get a uvb light or make sure her cage is getting sun. (just not too close to up the cage temperature past 80)
The little one that I was talking about, he is now over 30 grams and shows no signs of a limp or any deformities! Treat early and yours should be fine. :)
