Tonight both my new corns will be offered some food, and if they take it, it will be the first time they ate since being at the breeder's. So they are about 6 to 7 weeks old and I was wondering if I should offer 1 or 2 pinkies each? Thanks!

Well that all depends on the size of the snakes & the size of the pinkies. Mark

Well, I'd say about 12-14 inches long and the width of a pencil. And I don't know about the pinkies yet.

Sounds like they are good size hatchlings. Unless the pinkies are really big they should be able to take a couple each by the sounds of it. If the pinkies are quite large I would go with only 1 & see how they take them. A basic rule of thimb is whatever the thickest girth of the snake is, it can take one to 3 prey items of the same or slightly larger girth (larger snakes upto 1.5 times its girth). I don't like to go with too big of a meal with neonates until they are well established & usually stick to only 1 or 2 at a time. Better a smaller meal than risking a regurge & not getting anything & then having to wait an extra week or 2 after for another meal after the regurge. Mark
