posting good quality pictures

hey everyone ive wanted to ask this for a long time how do all of u post good quality pictures on this site. When i try posting a picture usally its too big of a file how can i make it smaller ive tried shrinking the picture that doesnt help too much any suggestions?

do u have paint shop pro. thats what i use to shrink a pic. and i think if you host with photobucket they shrink the pics automaticly.

ya i use photobucket by the time i shrink the file enough for the site to accept it the picture is too small to see anything would photoshop work good for shrinking pics?

Hmmm. I just posted a pic in Gargoyle Love... and used photobucket then the [IMG] linking... and it seems to have worked....the original was 674 KB
