This is our oldest BCI, Ayasha - a yearling. She just shed and it'd been a while since we took pics of her. These pics make her look huge. She's right at 4ft the last time we measured her. (More pics here (http://64.45.232.21/gallery/gallery.php?offset=20&gallery_num=1&gallery_name=Ayasha&gallery_path=ayasha%2F) )

She was sold to us as a Columbian, though I admit, her coloration looks pretty BCC-ish. We haven't done a scale count on her to be sure though. *chuckle* I guess since we have a shed here we could go ahead and find out, eh?

Thanks for all the compliments..

What's her saddle count? That's alot less daunting than a scale count (BCC: 14-22 BCI: 22+) :) Though her colour is outstanding for the species, I still give my vote as a BCI... or perhaps a cross?

Though she has great color, we still lean towards BCI as well. She's got a great salmon colored belly and alot of pink/red in her face and sides.

Saddle count is 21, or 22 if you count the one right over her vent. I think the only thing that would be truly conclusive would be a mid-body count and i'm just too lazy to do that. hehehe

We've always considered her to be a BCI, which is just fine by us :) We'll just continue to think of her as an exceptionally colored BCI.

Here's a shot of her tummy. Its like this all the way up. This particular shot is down towards the end of her tail. Up farther on her belly, there's alot less black - just salmon/coral color. Really cool :)

I haven't developed the eye for telling a BCC from a BCI at a glance but which ever it is, it's an amazing looking snake.
