I am interested to see how others incubate their corn eggs.
Can someone show me a pictorial?

This is what I did:

At first I had them covered in vermiculite... but found out that I shouldn't... So I put vermiculite in the bottom/sides, and put the egg clump in that.

Then:

a layer of moss over top.

any comments welcome.
The eggs were laid yesterday...
If I change how they are incubating, will that hurt them? ( if I've done something wrong in the method I've used, I want to fix the mistake )

Thanks :)

Are you going to put a cover on top of the moss?
Cause if you are then make sure that there are some holes for air flow.

You'll also have to make sure that the temperature in the container is at the correct temperature. Cause you don't want the environment temp to be at 80-85F and the inside of the box is way up at 90F+ (this happens if you are putting the lid on, trapping the heat inside the box)

Also I think that you might be able to make the moss a bit more moist. It kind of looks dry in the photo, but it might be the photo only~~

Thanks Simon.
Yes there will be a cover on the box... don't want the little wigglers escaping when they hatch :)

I'm going to try a diffrent method of incubating them. By placing the eggs on a grate to keep the bottom ones from getting too much water. Especially since I'm not certain how moist is moist enough or too wet.

Thx :)
