A few threads ago, we were talking about the 'caramel' influence as a 'het'. I posted a pic of "Fleur", my normal het caramel. The pics was blurry and her colours couldn't be seen as they should. Yesterday was beautiful here in S. Ontario and just before feeding we decided to snap some pics of our critters. I thought of you both...and decided with the help of 'hubby' I would show you just how 'golden' she is becoming. She is just 10 months, so I am assuming 'more yellow' is coming with each shed.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think....does she fit in the 'scale' of normals who are definitely showing their 'het' of caramel.

The yellow is really showing along her neck. She is a very light corn - amazingly light background color. Some of the het caramel I have seen have been much darker in the ground color and it is interesting to see the variety. She is a lovely corn - thanks for updated pics - outdoor light is great,

Me thinks her 'lightness' and 'brightness' are due in part to her hypo gene as well. With the black not as prominent or more washed out, it seems to turn the 'caramel' to 'gold'. Her full genotype is normal, het caramel, het hypo, het anery (ghost x caramel). I guess with triple hets you can't always tell what's doing what in the 'colour' department. But then...that's what the 'fun' is all about...seeing what Mother Nature 'blended' together.

I have definitely decided to keep her for breeding to my amber male a few years down the road.

Glad you liked the pixs

I think that you might be right.
Cause with the 'light-ness' coloratoin

At frist when I saw that snake, I thought that there would have been some hypo affecting it too~~

That is a very nice combination that you have
a normal het caramel hypo anery.
Getting some caramels and ambers, those would be pretty nice~~

Not much of these in Canada~~

Best of luck with him~
