Age of consent

I have a 2.5 yr female snow corn, but she isnt very big (she used to be a very finicky eater). How can I know if she is big/old enough to mate, and handle laying eggs.

i breed mine at three years and three feet (both, not one or the other).

If there is any doubt in your mind whatsoever, don't breed her. She needs to have good muscle tone and be gone growing - becoming gravid can stunt her and make her permanently a bad egg layer.

So on all counts, she'll have to wait til next year to get some action.
