diff. sperm, same clutch??

Can 2 or more male corns fertilize 1 clutch of eggs? I'm aware of females retaining sperm for weeks or even months but can diff. males fertilize 1 clutch? Thanks for any info...or experiences...

I haven't gotten a female lay a clutch with differnet fathers before. I am not saying that this is absolutley not possible, anything is possible.

Just that most of the time, there are sperm wars in snake. The stronger sperm basically kills the weaker male's sperm thus only one would be able to fertilies the eggs only.

I usually put about 2-3 males with one female. All resuling in different results.

What I mean by that is if my female is a Lavender
then I would be putting
Lavender x Lavender (Male)
Lavender x Bloodred (Male)
Lavender x Normal het Lavender (Male)

By doing this, I would basically gurantee myself with a fertile clutch. Also once the eggs come out, I can tell who the father was.

If lavendrs come out, lavender male was the father. All normals come out then I would assume that its the bloodred. *Unless I get so unlucky that even I have 50% chance I don't get any lavenders from my Normal het Lavender male to the Lavender Female. If half normal and half lavender, then I would assume that its the Normal het Lavender that bred with my female.

Interesting......I guess time has to be a factor also. Like if a female got fertilized before the other males were introduced, etc.

No snake breeding experience here, but I've managed it with leopard geckos (Albino x tang or albino and also Blizzard x blizzard or albino). It can happen in humans and other mammals and has been documented in birds, so I don't see why corns couldn't manage it.

Yes I have had it happen with one of my dogs. I bred a purebred female chihuahua to a purebred male chihuahua and then the next day my 10 year old toy american eskimo got out and got at her. 62 days later she gave birth to 1 very gorgeous little tan male chihuahua, 1 white chihuahua X toy am. eskie male and and 1 white chihuahua x toy am. eskie female. I knew that they were crossed with eskie not only because they were white but because they ended up having long hair. So i definately think that it is possible for corns. Like Dragndrop said it has happened in a lot of animals before so it cant be ruled out with corns.
