Who in Canada is working with Pieds? I think Corey Woods and Niagra Reptiles, but anyone else?

There's a few others...........and probably a couple workin' with hets.
I'm sure the people that are may let themselves be known, but could be shy and don't want to count their chickens before they hatch.

Double post. My fingers are to fast...........ladies. Lol...
David Kwok, Mark Mandic and Marc Bouchard also if I'm not mistaken.

Ive heard 50% possible het females will be around $400-500 next year, I've also been told that male 100% hets will be around $600. I hope to get my male this year, but we will see if I have the cash, if not then next year for sure.

John, het males can be had for $400 as we speak. In Canada. Look around.

I also have one. http://www.ssnakess.com/photopost/data/500/6863Piebald.JPG
Prices are dropping fast on pieds and hets should be somewhere near the $300.00 for males and $1000-1500 for females. They are still popular and with the prices dropping, a much more attainable investment animal.
Good Luck with you efforts,
Dave

Dave,
The picture you showed. Is that the "Het Marker"? Or is that an actual Pied that is only slightly showing white?

Looks like a Low White Pied to me. Doesn't mean it won't have high white offspring though. Kinda a more affordable way to get into Pieds.

As of the begining of last season, there were five known adult Pied males in Canada. I know there has been a few more pop up since then too, and Corey has been producing het pieds in pretty good numbers for the past couple years........They're on their way to being more readily available, though I think some of the het prices mentioned above are a little on the low side (for females especially). Pieds took a huge price drop this year with Pete Kahl producing a couple hundred of them...........

PS - Just for the record, I don't currently own a Pied.........just hets. I do have that posted on my website, but I wanted to clarify.

It great to hear how affordable male hets are this year, I inquired about them late last year and was quoted 600 by a breeder but 400 sounds great to me, 300 is even better. I can't wait to breed one ot my freinds 50% het female, you never know we could get lucky and have her prove out. I think they are one of the nicest morphs out there. BTW around how much for a low white pied anyways that would be a really good way to get into pieds too, they don't have to have alot of white to produce really nice babies.

He's low white and yes he can throw offspring as white as they come. I save a couple of dollars so I could spend them on more normal females. Wish I bought 300 females instead of 150 of them last year. Won't make that mistake again!! I did my CITES (under my name at a Michigain address) for 500 animals. I hope to hold back 100 and sell 400 in May. Wishful thinking but hey.

Well I won't be getting 300 females but I'll probably get a few more off of you in the spring, so let me know what you've got, the girls I have still haven't eaten but I'm gunna try a few live fuzzie rats to see if they hit them. I've tried F/T but they just had a fear strike at them. I'll keep you posted. Once I get a few meals into them I'll switch them over.

Give it a couple of days more. All my balls since 200grams feed on live fully weaned rats near 30grams or bigger. They eat large prey less often. I feed all my balls but one (my largest female) live only. I even converted some from F/T for the convenince. I'll have an ad up once they come in. I'm hoping its going to me a good year for balls.
Dave
I paid $450 for my het pied male, not really sure what the females are going for but in the thousands. Hopefully I will have poss het babies this year though, keeping all the females of course!! LOL
