Hi all, the pet store owner ( where i purchased my snake a while ago) told me that because of the dry conditions of winter that I should try bathing my snake regularly. However, he did not tell me how to do so. I would like to know how I should bathe my snake, how much water to use (he just said use one of those rubbermaid square containers), the temp of the water, and how long I should keep my snake in there.
All help is appreciated,
Thanks,
Steve.

I bathe my monitor in my bath tub at 85 degree temps, I reccomend the same for corns as that is the temp they are used to, no reason to over heat or cool them for a bath they are cold blooded remember. I havent had my snakes long enough to bathe them but thats how I'd do it. Also if its because of a shedding problem trying gently moving your fingers around their body, however if you own a whirl pool like I do don't bathe your corn in it as they can go into the jets lol use a rubbermaid.

First make sure you humidity is too low before forcing your snake to swim. Even if the humidity is too low the best thing is to increase it not place your snake in a rubbermaid with an inch or two of water. The cage can be set up to improve humidity or a humidifier can be added to the room etc. But first find out what your humidity level is.
Cheers,
Trevor
PS
I would avoid putting a snake in a whirl pool or any other sittuation where the snake might swim into an open whole.

umm yeah..my sentiments exactly... However I don't think my monitor could fit in a jet...
