How old or big do Burmese Pythons have to get before they're old enough to breed?

Hmmm....Definately a size thing.
OK...Ill tell you as long as you PROMIS you wont breed any normals...
;)

Anyway,MY OPINION, a female should be at least 10 feet a good 40lbs and recommended 3 years old,( but some breed them as early as 2 years,) if you want a nice good sized healthy clutch and males can breed as early as 7-9 ft in length and 2 years old. Just use caution to ensure they have good weight before cycling to breed. Some of them may go off feed for anywhere from 3-6 mos at a time.Remember, the older and larger in size and wieght, the better:) If you need anyother specifics, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the info, we're not ready to breed this year, possibly next year or the year after, then i'll want to know starting time for cooling, temps, incubation times, temps humidity... and any other factors. we have a pair of albino burms, one's het for granite and labrynth, the other... who knows what she's het for... so who knows what we'll get, but thats a good ways off now.
