Hi. :D

So the male went to the vet today. He listened to him breathing, and took x-rays.

The lump is not a tumour, its a fluid build up. He is pretty sure it's pneumonia/respitory infection with fluid build up in the lung. But since his heart is so close to that area as well it could be something to do with his heart.

He gave us 20 days of anti-biotics to give him, and said if the lump starts going down, then give him a full 20 days of antibiotics. If it doesn't go down at all or gets worse before ten days, then we do not do the other ten days worth and we bring him into the vet.

Now the female.

Over the weekend she shed, and her mouth looks 80% better. There is a slight bit of swelling it looks like but we are now going to clean it out for ten days and if it doesn't get better, she goes back to the vet as well.

Here is an updated (bad) photo of her mouth after shedding, before we started cleaning it out.

This was how it looked before the shed:

I really hope he doesn't have a heart problem and I hope her mouth cleans up soon. :(

Yeah I am really hoping it's simply fluid build up from a bad RI. Anyone heard of that before? A noticeable lump due to pneumonia/respitory infection?

I am cleaning the females mouth out every other day as she is a little bit testy about the entire thing. She musked my boyfriend bad when we cleaned it yesterday. :P

Thanks Katt, Mary, Kevin and Clint. :D :D

I am really crossing my fingers this pair makes it through and gets up to par.

My original plans were breeding them this year in the spring, but I have decided even if both got better tomorrow, that option is totally out for sure. I am going to work from now until spring 2006 getting them both in flawless condition and then try them out. I think a nice spring and a hot summer full of feeding will do them both good.

Tonight we have to give the male his meds, and clean the females mouth out again. I hope they are in a good mood! :D :D
