Hi, I just got a leucistic leo yesterday and I was wondering if I could keep the new one and my older female together. I dont want them killing eachother so I bought a divider and put it in the middle. But if I dont need it I will take it out. I will get pics up today.

Shouldn't you quaritine the new leopard first?

It would be a good idea to quarentine it for a few weeks first - that doesn`t mean by divider - that would be by different container and preferably different room

They may be fine to put together eventually but for now it is best not to, because you don`t want to loose both your babies!

I personally recommend quarentine for at least 90 days (3 months) before placing a new herp into an exsisting colony or with a cage mate. I also recommend a fecal sample be taken to a vet to ensure no parasites will be passed around.

Whether you do this is up to you i find it good practice to quarentine and try to find any "bad" things out before i toss them in with another animal i've grown attached to. Plus i would only be spending money on one herp instead of several if something went wrong.

If you do want to quarentine the best thing to do is keep the cage as simple as possible and away from the rest of the collection.

You should also only put leos that are the same size toghether if one is considerably bigger there will be "bulling" going on.
