right now my snow corn snake Sable is laying her eggs. So far she has laid 13 eggs all of them look GREAT bright white and nice and big except for 1 egg it's a little one that has a yellowish tinge don't look exactly like a slug but i belive it will be. She also still laying eggs, but by the looks of it she only has 2-3 more to go.
Anyway, i just had to share that with everyone...

Thanks everyone,
I don't know what's up with the late clutch. I breed them earlier this year and nothing happend, but then all of a sudden she started gaining weight but stopped eating then she shed and i decided to throw in the nesting box just incase. And 6 days later eggs. They are even on "winter" mode. I don't do a complete cooling but i drop the lights down to 10day/14 night and drop the temps down to 75 warm side and 65 cool side.
Thanks again, and what a wonderful early Christmas gift for me.

Well, lets see how wonderfully my morning has gone....
Sable laid her last egg #13 around 12:30 pm yesturday afternoon. As i said in my first post i knew she had 2-3 more to go. The night goes on and nothing happening but one egg is a little closer to her cloclia(sp)about an inch or so. Then around 1:am over 12 hours later i notice one egg about a 1/2 inch from her cloclia, so i decided to stay up and wait it out. I was up to 5:30 am waiting and waiting but still nothing. When i woke up around 11:30 am i went to check on her and the egg was still inside her about an inch away, so it wasn't going anywhere but back in. My normal overprotective instincts kicked in and i started soaking her, but the egg wouldn't pass.
I ended up calling my vets office, not expecting anyone to be there and i was right. So i called the emercency #, nothing but a message to call another #. Ended up having to go to a emergency vet hospital around 1:00pm.
I'm completely stressed out at this point and i'm sure Sable was too. Well the vet took an x-ray to see how many she had left, and oh my freaking god i couldn't belive the x-ray when i seen it. She still had 6 eggs left inside her, that took her total up to 19 eggs. The vet said they all appeared healthy Except the one closest to being passed. She said the area where the egg was "seemed" inflamed. She recommend a shot of oxytocin, an enima and if that didn't work she said to bring her back into the office on sunday . I asked her if she could drain the egg that was towards the end along with giving her a shot of oxytocin. She said that doing that may help her pass the rest of the eggs, so she did it. So after having one egg drained an enima, and an oxytocin shot, it's time to wait it out a little longer. She also told me to soak her in warm water every hour for 10 mins for the next 24 hours or until she lays all of them. My only concern with that is wouldn't i be stressful to Sable after all of this. Would i be better off leaving her alone???
After bringing Sable back from the vets i gave her a "fresh" nesting box and the second she hit the box she immediatly started to burrow and has been that way for about 20 mins.
Any advice would be welcomed seeing as this is my first time dealing with egg binding, and it has me completly freaked out. I can careless about the eggs still inside her, all i really care about is HER and her health. Breeding is a great part of having them, but i don't want to risk her life for my enjoyment of having babies.
Thanks
Jamie
The only nice part about this was i got to see a x-ray from my baby girl and that was pretty neat.

**Update**
Well it's now Monday, I waited it out until today because i didn't want to take Sable back to that vet agian (long story from the past) I only did it cause i had no choice. I called my vet first thing this morning and dammit my Herp vet wouldn't be in until Wednsday, that was way to long so i asked who they would suggest i take her to. The refered me to Clarkson Animal Hospital. So i called that place up told them the whole situtation. The herp vet actually got on the phone with me and asked a few questions then asked me when was the soonest i could get her there. I told him i could head out the door now and be there within 30-45 mins, he said good and as soon as i got her there he would see her right away. When i got there i maybe waited about 5 mins, the vet tech was GREAT, she asked a few questions and was very gentle with Sable and we even started talking about both of our collections and different vets we had been to. A few minutes later the vet walks in, he ended up coaxing the rest of the eggs out (5) gently with his hands. All of them came out pretty easy 1 slugs, 3 good, 1 he had to slice open, and 2 small blood clots. He gave her an injection of baytril a little more oxytocin and some salve up her vent. He said to give her a soak tommorow afternoon, keep her on papertowels and to keep a close eye on her. He also gave me a business card and a way to get ahold of him 24/7 just incase she's not looking to good, i can call him and he will meet me at the office at anytime.
I'm just glad this is almost over and hopefully Sable will be alright. And i got to bring home the 3 good eggs so that takes my total up to 16 eggs, 1 slug (which i'm still leaving in the incubator) and 15 good eggs.
Jamie
