i went to petco a couple weeks ago and was upset over the conditions they kept a tiny little crested, very dry and max heat. no greenery, or anything to climb or hide under, they had a fake cactus plant and the fake rock to hide under which of course was useless to a crested. i shook it off and walked away. well i was back in the area yesterday and decided to drop in and check on the little guy. he was survivng, clinging to the glass and wide awake during the day as he was the first time i saw him. of course the person in charge doesn't want someone coming in and telling them the proper care of these critters although i tried to be nice about it. so i now own another little crested.

now i didn't think there was anything special about this little one, but i was wrong. he/she is not shy at all, poking a little nose out the hole in the box during the trip home. it gobbled up two crickets immediately and i waited a few hours and gave it another which it pounced on. while preparing to feed the others some apricot baby food, i put a little on my finger for this new baby expecting to be shunned. it licked it up and kept licking my finger! so cute! none of our others ever readily ate from my finger! they always needed poking and prodding to eat from me and rarely will eat baby food while i am watching! i love this new little critter! it is properly named "spunky"(stevo26's mom)

Friendly little guy, isn't he?
Santa came early for him and gave him a good home. I bet he's thrilled now :)
