Cuddling??

Anyone else notice that when their cresties sleep they cuddle up together?? I've noticed it with my adult pair but not my babies. It's just cute I'll walk in sometime during the day to check on them and they will be all snuggled up together. I hate keeping them alone sometimes but, I don't want my girl to breed to death.

Mine've never been together, I was gonna wait til they were sexed, but I've seen different sources that say that if there's more than one male that it won't be a problem usually.

Any idea? I'd love to see this and watch multiple cresties interact. My cresties are approx 6-7 months old, so as of now I plan on waiting until I know their sexes before housing together...

I have seen my pair cuddle and kiss! They rub faces together and lick each others face. for that reason I am looking for a mate for my single young male.

The night I received 5 from the states I had them all in a large critter keeper with paper tubes, in the morning all five were in a single Toilet paper tube! They were really crammed in there. I think they do it for security and to stay warm.

But mine don't really hide so I don't think it's a security thing. Also they are nice and warm so. I find it SOOOO cute I love it.

I've noticed it over the years, not just cresties but any group of 3 or more. It seems to me that it could be a survival thing. If you're alone when a predator comes along, you're done like dinner :) If you're next to someone else, you only have a 50% chance of being dinner. If there are 2 others, you're down to 33% chance.... so it's to your advantage to sleep with a friend or 10.
