Opinion on caging hots varies with the keeper. The two primary concerns in keeping hot snakes are one, as with any snakes the security of the enclosure and two the ease working with the snake in the enclosure while avoiding getting bit. For this reason many hot keepers stay away from standard aquariums with mesh tops as many hots can bite through the screen and into an inappropriately placed hand and there is a greater chance of the lid being improperly secured.
Many hot keepers prefer to construct their own cages with front opening sliding glass doors which are securely locked. These cages are designed to allow easy access and limit the nooks and crannies where the snake may conceal itself. The second common option is to purchase tanks designed to house hot snakes in the above fashion from manufacturers such as neodesha or vision.
There is however no perfect hot cage each one having advantages and disadvantages and opinion on which is the superior form of caging is as varied as the herpers keeping the animals.

He Monitor boy.

A cage is for birds or wild mammals, an aquarium is for fishes and a terrarium is for reptiles...

This is my terrariumwall when I started it 3 years ago. All the terraria have pull-out lightboxes.
All plants are life and I clean and change the terraria ones in 2 or 3 years.
