My youngest girl is very finicky....

I tried the paper-bag trick, left her in it overnight with a small rat that I had scented with a young mouse. No go. This was the third time I've tried to feed her.

She has yet to eat a rat for me.

:(

I always wait about a week and a half before trying again. I feel bad about wasting the ratsies.....

I haven't been here in a while, so I don't know what you've tried.

Some people say wait it out, When I had bp's refuse 2 rats in a row I would add a week (like if I feed weekly, I would wait 2 wks to feed the snake, and so on), they will eventually get hungry and eat.

You could always try a live rat (either supervised *restrained*, or a pink or just before eyes open) if it is a pink, you can just leave it in there.

If it is a f/t rat, after the rat is thawed, dip it's head in HOT water for a few seconds., then dangle (still dripping wet) in front of the snake.

I had a really stuborn snake, and she would ONLY eat rats this way.

Try feeding at night, droping the rat in, and walking away, all lights off.

Also try thawing the rat in dirty shavings from a mouse bedding.

braining (taking a tack or nail and making parts of the brain come out)

Cutting off the end of the nose.

Also some snakes are REALLY picky, try to feed the snake the same color that the mice were (if you were feeding it mice)

If you are concerned for the snakes health (low weight, bad health) feed it what it was already taking until it gets better.

This is only what I know/remember, I'm sure others have more/better ideas.

She could just be done for the year too. Out of my 12 balls only two females and one male are still eating. The rest stoped long ago. It's what they do.
Cheers,
