What would be the best snake to breed with a female corn (another corn) or?... and what if it is a male snow corn what would be the best female to use?.... Please let me know as i am going to sex the snow corn this week and have an extra tank for this project as i have family members wanting some corn snakes ... I just want some really nice corns and plan to keep a few myself.. I was thinking going with an okatee or a creamsicle... what would be the nicer of the two or is there a better breed of corn to use?.... Thanks alot guys for helping me out on this one

I like blood reds but I dont know if they'd cross or what not. I don't have know a whole lot about breeding corns yet. Just got Kathy Loves book hopefully thats better than these half assed corn snake care sheets on line
What are you hoping to produce? Snows? Amels? Normals? Aneries? Double hets? Triple hets? What?
I just want something really colorful and if decided to sell some would like some higher value....and if it was monitary what would be better keeping them snow corns or cross breeding? ... I am big in the amazons and cooks and have only 1 corn that's a pet and it's unsexed at the moment it's in shed stage. thanks for answering guys
Pure corns will aways sell better than hybrids.
I say get an amel het anery to breed to your snow, that way you can get amels and snows in your offspring.

Definitely agree with Katt - avoid creamsicles unless you secifically want to work with intergrades and hybrids because they are not pure corns (even though they are my favorites and what I work with) - you need to be prepared to deal with the intergrade or hybrid side of things.
Your snow corn is homozygous for anery (missing red) and amel (missing red) genes. If you breed to an amel you will get all amels (het for anery) unless the amel is het anery in which case you will get amels and snows. We have found that amels and snows both appeal to people and sell quickly.
If you like dark colored snakes an alternative would be to get an anery (black and white) - will produce all anerys unless it is het for amel in which case it will produce anerys and snows. While anerys are pretty, the amels with the bright red and white colors seem to appeal to more people.
I would look for a normal corn that is het for (carries) both amel and anery. Bred to your snow it will give you amels, anerys and snows as well as normals. Nice variety from the clutch but you have to be confident in the person you buy it from to trust that it really is carrying those genes. Both anery and amel are so common in the corn population it is hard to find normals that don't carry one or the other! Normal corns are actually very pretty and appeal to a lot of people who don't like red eyes -

Ok thanks people think i'll take the advice on the amel het anery, As i don't want to breed some snakes that no one has an interest in, simply because of color. What snakes are left after giving some away I would like to keep myself or maybe be able to sell (not monitary but the profit will feed some snakes for awhile) I really thank you people for your advice and thanks a whole lot for the help, Not the type to throw a whole bunch of ingredients together sit back and hope for the best. I really wanted to be sure what i was doing as these are LIFES we are talking about
Thanks alot...........
