Someone asked on the banned site for pics of both of these animals......so I'm posting them here as well.

Here are some pics to of both the Black Stripes (Dominant) and Het Red Axanthics (Co-Dominant).

Het red-axanthics are amazing. I sometimes even like them better than the super version. A pastel het red would be insane.

Cool stuff!

Is Red Axanthic both a colour and pattern mutation? I did a google search but I didn't learn much from it. Where can I find a good write up on this mutation (if there is one)?

Het Red Axanthics are a morph in themselves and though variable, it is still obvious what they are.

Jeff - Even the hets are hypo axanthic........hardly any yellow at all. I have a feeling the pastel cross is going to be a drastic display in colour..........I feel this is a very exciting morph to work with........and it's two different morphs in one snake :) The Red Axanthics still have the black back, but they also have a light stipe down their backs and are a different colour. I have a feeling that a cross with a het will hold completely different results when displayed as a Red Axanthic.............Talk about endless possibilities. Sorry for the babble here, but I'm pretty excited about this morph :D

Mousekilla - I think Ralph (ralphdavisreptiles.com) has a blurb in the hatching records for this past season, but I see he hasn't written much on the morph page in a few years ;) Maybe one day Corey will finally get his new website up and I'm sure there'll be something there. Now that his move is done, I'm not sure what other reasons he can find to procrastinate ;)
