I recently bought a ball python and he is great. He is eating well and seems to be happy. About 2-3 weeks ago hhis eyes turned blue and I was expecting a shed. A few days later he shed the skin over his head and nothing else. Now, the unshed skin on the rest of his body is starting to become almost crispy but he will still not shed. I realize I probably had a humidity problem or he did not have a suitable area to rub but I fixed both of these problems. I have soaked the snake in warm water many times to try and help him out but nothing seems to work, he is still eating fine. I dont know what to do, please help!

Leave the snake in a container with a warm (not hot), damp towel over night on it's heat pad. Try to get it to be a tight fit. You want the snake to have to move through the towel.
P.S. Only post your questions in one forum. They will get answered, don't worry. :)

MAke sure not to use too hot of water. Use a thermometer if you have one and make sure it is not too hot.
Do what Tim said...that way he will get nice and humid and then will be forced to rub the skin off when slithering through the towel. Another way is to put the snake in the container and let him soak for a while and then take him out and hold him in the towel making sure there is a *little* bit of pressure so that the skin rubs off.
What is your humidity at?
Did he have a dish to soak in?
