Hydrophobic Skin??

I mist my crestie cage bidaily when possible, and I always try and spray some directly onto the cresties. It always seemed like no matter how much I spray, water wouldn't touch them. So I took out the male a couple days ago and tried dropping water directly on him. And no matter what, it always ran off. Didn't bead, and wouldn't stay still, it was pretty interesting.

Anyone else seen this, or know anything about it?

Yup mine are like that too. It's very neat to watch. It does how ever bead up if it hits their eyes.

Cresties don't close their eyes do they? I keep waiting to see my new guy sleeping or wink at me, alas, he thinks I'm not that attractive :(
