I recently purchased a pair of Adult Leo's. I am a little concered for each in a different manner. The male (2 years) doesn't eat much... but he does eat immediately when I do feed him.
The female (1.75 years), eats everything I give her.... but her poop is ussualy runny. I figured that since she has been eating Silk worms, butter worms, meal worms and crickets, that her tummy was just getting accustomed to all the different bugs. Am I wrong in thinking that the stool can ever be soft? I cant actually remember a solid stool in the last 2 weeks.

Update...
My girl looks bloated. She weighs 46 g's and eats and poo's regularly. I am trying to get her to a vet for a check up and stool sample, but I can only find 1 vet in the phone book that deals with herps. Any one know of any in the StCatharines area that works with 'em? I have to go to Thorold (not too far), and the hours aren't great.
I have a question....
Do females get eggs if they aren't breeding? My ex had terrible monthly cycles.... maybe that is what I am dealing with;)

Females can and do lay infertile eggs even if they haven't been mated. If yours is bloated though, and produces runny poop, it could be a sign of something that needs a vet's attention. If there's any doubt, it's best to go to the vet. Sorry I can't help much with a name.

The soonest I can get to the only one I can find is the 30th. I hope she is fine until then. I am going to skip a day feeding her as well.... I have read that adults should be fed 4 times a week. How exactly that is broken down, i don't know, but I have fed every day. I didn't think they would over eat (like my scorpions will), she I just gave her what she would take. What else can a guy do for his girls????
Tell the Vet that this isn't a regular check up and to go f*** themselves if they are going to wait that long as she may be dead by then.

She didn't poo for a whole day (friends have laughed that I get worried about that!!), and still looked big, could she be constipated or impacted with mealies???. Then last night she did, and it was solid :-) I am still worried, but at least she went. The worms are WAY smaller then her so I don't think it is it, but I hate feeling useless. She also was in shed yesterday... does that change their eating habits??? I have some pics of her shedding yesterday, but I cant get them small enough to post!!! Smallest I can get is 50kb. I will change the res on my cam for the next time. If you would like to see that and other pics.... PM me I have a FTP setup for viewing.... maybe I will try my hand at HTML.

Shedding does have an effect on their appetites, so it might be the reason for her not eating the last day or so. If she pooped, it's a good sign. Sometimes they don't poop every day, but as long as they do at least twice a week and it's normal looking, I don't worry much.

Thanks DragnDrop, she seems to be ok now. Still will visit vet for fecal tests. Look for the pics....
