Any idea what this is and how to heal it?
She has always shed whole for the past year, last month she shed in pieces and pretty bad. Humidity was ok between 60-70%, not sure why she shed in pieces yet. No mites. She seems to want to shed and went blue this week, I'm not sure this shed will correct this. I think it will break off in pieces again.

any other health issues?
maybe having a "shed box" for the next shed
if this continues you mmight want to consider skin biopsies to
determine the cause.
any lesions in the mouth? (ie mouth rot/stomatits) or blotchiness to the gums...this can indicate a bacterial infection which can transalate into skin problems

She has no other health problems. She ate last week without a problem. Her skin just looks real bad after her last shed.

I wanted to give you guys a follow up report on this JCP's progress. As you know she was in pretty bad shape from one of her sheds last month. Since then she has shed twice within 2 weeks of each other, the second being yesterday night. I was stumped by the skin problem as she has always been in great health and has always shed in one piece. None of my husbandry practices changed, it was weird!

I am glad to write that with the past two sheds she looks much better than she did originally!! She is 120% and looks to be getting better with each shed!!

I'm not sure if this was what you would call an ugly duckling phases? All I know is I have not changed anything and she has not only healed great on her own, but seems to be looking better! Her yellows are becoming brighter from a brownish/mud coloring to a yellow!

I'll take pictures tonight and post the before and after.
