to ship a live animal from USA to Cananda, how would i do it? does it get there fast enough? How do you usually package the animals? i was thinking of a deli container (pint) with a damp paper towel inside and air holes, and packed with newspaper and air holes in the box? and do i mark it Live Animal, or will that slow things down? thanks. If you're talking about the cresties you have advertised, it might not be a good idea to ship them here. First off, you can only legally ship them here via air cargo, which isn't cheap. You mentioned in the ad that you'd pay the shipping --- you might not like the bill. You have to check if they need to be inspected by the USFWS before exporting, which would entail an inspection fee ( I think it's around $55, or seems that's what I've heard being mentioned). Add in the cost of international shipping, and it's not going to be cheap. Shipping them at this time of year itself is safe and fast, but the costs involved usually don't make it worthwhile unless there's a lot of animals involved.

thank you so much, that is exactly what i wanted to know. the woman at the post office knew nothing about it, and she read thru restrictions and it said nothing about live animals. i'll just have to stay within the USA, then. thanks for your help.
