Hello, I've just recently acquired my own ball python a month ago which is about 3 months old, 20 inches or so. I have also fallen in love with the JCP and would love to pick one up at the upcoming Red Deer show. But first I must make an enclosure. I have a dresser i'm thinking about taking the drawers out and replacing them with shelves and plexi glass doors. I just need to know dimension sizes as this enclosure needs to last them a year till next summer. The dimensions for the individual snakes would be,
ball (4 months) 2 feet wide x 14 inches deep x 9 inches tall...and the JCP would have 2 feet wide x 14 inches deep x 10 inches tall. Keep in mind that this only needs to last a year. I have no clue how fast the JCP grows it's first year and a bit but i'm sure it would be sufficient for a yearling ball. Thanks for the help in advance.

a jcp will grown up to about 2and a half or 3 feet after a year.. it really depends on his appetite and how much u feed em.

As for sizes .. it all depends on how big the jcp you obtain is.. the dimensions seem good for a snake up to a year or two .. with some pearchs in there.. but way to big for a noenate ...

Best of luck

K thanks guys. I changed my plans on housing the snakes and they will be smaller dimensions then stated. I will just buy new tupperware tubs for em as they grow till I don't have to hide them in my closet lol. Thanks. Mike

PS- they still get their light in there so they aren't in total darkness 24/7 I make sure of that
