I was planning to buy a couple of dwarfs retics...
Well my boyfriend said: "no way I want a Green tree python and I'll go get one tomorrow and thats my final decision"
I was pretty upset because if he had done that, we coulnd afford a couple of dwarf retics.
Finally, the next day, he went to the petshop... and called me:
"hey I got a Green Tree python!!!"

Finally, he came home with this... :

<img src="http://pages.infinit.net/lawl/ssnakesspicts/Pythounne02.jpg">

hes the type of guy that when hes going to buy a snake, he will come back with one.. andif the one he wants is not available.. he will get another one :)

Shes between 4-5 feet long and is a Dwarf Retic. she didnt show any signs of aggressivity yet. But she has some wounds on the head, that I think might be caused by the other retic (not a dwarf) that she was sharing a tank with to the petshop.
Anyway we will take care of her and will get her a little male ASAP :)

Yeah, not sure if that's a dwarf either. I hope you didn't get screwed over. Best way to tell is to email Bob Clark a bunch of photos and see what he says.

Mary,

Personally, I don't think your retic is a dwarf. Hopefully I'm wrong but be prepared to have a monster on your hands in a year or so. The only type of "dwarf" that comes close to yours is the Bali "Dwarf"........however, these are found in the wild at over 14 feet and therefore I don't consider them dwarfs at all!!! Any retic over 10 feet I wouldn't consider to be a dwarf local.

In all of the dwarfs that I've seen over the years (about 60 of them in person) they have all had (except for the Balis) the black lace pattern down there back that is 1 scale thick. Here are some pics of my "Super Dwarf" retics that I've had for about 2.5 years now. They were brought over from Indo back in the summer of 2000 and were about 2 feet long when they were collected. They are now 4.5-6.5 feet.

Male that is approximately 4.5 feet

Female that is approx 5.5 Feet

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Retics/SDFemale%203544.JPG">

The largest of the Super Dwarfs. This female is in around 6.5 feet. She will eat 3 large rats in a sitting but she still doesn't grow!! She is tame as a kitten too. I think she is just about done growing. She is in shed in this pic.

Enjoy,

Congrats! She's beautiful :) I'm far from a retic expert, but she looks like all the Bali Dwarf Retics I've seen before.............

That's what I was thinking. Those black lines are far too thick. It would be a dynamite-looking dwarf if it is one though. Good luck Mary!!

Now there's a lady after my own heart! I love the name Mary, that's how we name ours. All but the corn snakes have Sumerian names thus far.
