Hey Everyone,

I was looking through the back of reptiles magazine listing dealers of snakes, when I stumbled upon someone carrying Dwarf Burms? I have attached the website. I am wondering if this sounds right, or if it is true? I think its kind of fishy(snakey, weird, whatever) myself. Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers!

It is true. There is a keeper on www.constrictors.com who has purchased a pair of these from NERD. They are rare and quite expensive. The story behind them is similar to that of the super dwarf Retics. They come from an isolated population, the brokers won't reveal the location. Only a few were made available and it was mostly breeders in Europe that got them. Bob Clark tried, I guess but couldn't get any. For those interested http://constrictors.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2577 here's the link but I'm not sure how good it will be if you're not registered there. The dwarf Burms a very nice, similar to a het for granit.

Yeah... there's a lot of unpleasantness surrounding Morph Specialties and Savannah Sernas. A LOT of unpleasantness... Like the fact that she's a nineteen year old kid who's name has been added to business papers to protect a known and convicted smuggler and thief who owes Bob Clark a massive amount of money. By slapping her name on the company and sales, it's all being protected from Bob, who is rightfully owed it.

A fauna thread with a more complete story... It's long though, very very long. Settle down and read the entire thing if you're REALLY considering sending money to Morph Specialties... Bottom line though, the snakes are legit, Morph Specialties is not. You'll probably get what you pay for, but you'll be funding criminals.

That is a very long thread. Savannah Sernas is the owner(or the one with the name attached to her) of Morph Specialties? Is Nerd a carrier of these aswell? All very interesting.

Honestly don't know if NERD has any or not- it's right up Kevin and Kara's alley though, so it wouldn't surprise me if they invested in them and have started production.

Savannah is the official owner of the company and every financial transaction will go through her and be in her name. She just coincidentally was the young neighbor of Jeff Miller a notorious smuggler who incidentally stole ball projects from Bob Clark, physically stole the animals- Bob took him to court and won. Jeff owes Mr. Clark a very large sum of money and Bob can legally have Miller's income garnished or property seized towards paying off the debt. The exporters who sent these dwarf burms were also old OOOOOLD friends of Miller's (the foreign counterpart to some of his CITES sidestepping smuggling). So an eighteen year old girl miraculously managed to generate the capital needed to start a high end animal business, managed some very elusive exporter contacts and was the first in the nation to obtain a very desireable animal with a high pricetag. And of course Miller claims to have absolutely nothing to do with it, despite the fact that some of the emails sent from Morph Specialties to their customers are signed "-Jeff"

Jeff Miller IS Morph Specialties. Savannah is a front who keeps Bob Clark from reclaiming what he's owed and allows Jeff to have no income every year.

Thats just poor. Can't the courts do something about miller to get Bob his money back?

well I'ld say bob clark is doing ok for himself regardless. I'm sure he'll get his hands on a pair or 3 through some 3rd party and start chruning them out in no time. I'm at page 28 in the thread and at this point i dont really care about the whole todo but its an interesting read. One thing I know for sure is that someones going to make a mint of the whole deal and its not me.

They sure are some damn cool looking snakes though

Now now M, you make a good point. But dont be too hard on the girl. She might not know all that you know about the situation, and Im sure there is something in it for her. She is very young and probably very easily influenced. I feel kinda bad for her actually. Hopefully at the tender age of 19 she will be able to keep herself out of any major legal traumas from being mixed up with this dude!

I know for a fact that NERD had atleast 2 of them, but if you want to know for sure if they have more, email Kara or kevin. They're usually very helpful and friendly. I think it's also safe to say that if NERD has dwarfs then Bob Clark has managed to get some too. I really suggest checking out the various threads of constrictors.com for some shots of the dwarfs. The guy that purchased them isn't talking out his ***. I think if he was claiming to have got them from NERD and didn't, Kara would have said something by now.

We have them...but not through any connection with Morph Specialties. They're absolutely tiny & we can't wait to find more out about these fascinating little snakes through more captive breeding efforts.
