Hey all,
Here are a couple pics of my OBT, Punky. (He was originally Pumpkin, but names evolve...)
Anyways, I was unsure if Usumbaras are arboreal or terestrial, since in the delicup, he was BOTH. haha I gave him a terrestrial cage when he was big enough, and he made tunnels...ABOVE the ground?
Oh well, they are really neat to see, the tunnel goes around like a race track, a nice big circular hole. The second pic is looking down the tunnel of web, excuse the bad pic, but it's really neat to see in person!
Pretty Punky has a big butt...when he molts next, he'll have to widen those tunnels!

It is always amazing what an Usumbara can create. I just put mine into a bigger cage. Woke up the next day and half of her cage was covered. But yours gets the building award. That is a crazy web system!

No, for a crazy web system, my Chilobrachys andersonni takes the cake.

I have named it Ghoul, since it's delicup looks so spooky. It is a dark shape lurking under a bark chip, and the web is haphazard and strung everywhere, with bits of peat hung here and there. There is no clear pathway, just lots of crazy web, like Hallowe'en. I can't wait until it grows up a bit, to see what it can do in a bigger container!
Cheers

Do you have to periodically sweep the web from the cage? or just let it break down naturally?

Very neat looking :)
