OK heres my luck....I go to the petstore hearing from many people most geckos are females from the petstore. I end up wanting a male and female. After being lied to by the petstore i now have 2 males. I am looking for some breeders in GA. Or anywhere that will ship for cheap. Any one who will sell the gecko and ship it for cheap. All i have is 60 dollars and a male gecko. If i took back both geckos i would have 92 dollars. Is this enough for a male and female pair of geckos. WHAT SHOULD I DO? please reply with links to good cheap breeders. If i see some i like but they dont have males ill keep one of my males and get a female. But if its cheaper for a pair, ill definitely do that.PLEASE REPLY

Well, return your least favorite gecko to the petstore and maintain the other while you wait for a female. Geez, make sure to give the guy some time to adjust before stressing him out with a woman in the cage LOL Take your time in finding a female... there are MILLIONS out there, you needn't necessarily buy the first one to come along!

When you do find a female be sure to quarentine her before introducing her to the male. I recommend 90 days but 30 or 60 is better than none.

When you have both geckos living separately and eating well, you can start introducing them. (In my opinion it helps if the geckos 'know' each other through a mutual setting... I let mine get to know each other on my living floor (under supervision, of course). They don't fight over territory or stress as easily. I let them hang out once or twice a week after the quarentine period is over. They get to know each other's scent so it's not as weird for them when one moves into the others tank.

Some may think these are strange techniques, but I stand by them. Good luck with your geckos, and keep us updated!

P.S. I don't want to make assumptions, but I am guessing that you are purchasing these animals to breed, rather than for companionship. I wanted to let you know that breeding leopard geckos only become profitable (and worth the effort) on a large scale. Make sure you are buying these animals for the right reasons because they can live a very long time and will require your commitment to them. I would do a little more research, if I were you, before making any more purchases.

(BTW, where I live $90.00 is more than enough for a pair of normal geckos! =)

Well $92 can probably buy you a pair for normals or hi yellows, but certainly wont cover shipping. The breeder doesnt ship for how ever much they want, its the Airlines who have set prices. Westjet is the best I find, but their prices are the same wether youa re shipping from coast to coast or just to the city next to you. Their charge is $66.28 which is pretty damn good compared to Aircanadas $125+. Also its probably worth it to get a bigger order of animals to bennefit youtself.

A pair of normals or hi yellows? Well wither way its not exactly a good deal, normals go for $20 a piece and hi yellows for around $30-$35.

i just got my albino from the TO show a few weeks ago for $50, so you could get two of those for $100, or a little less is you want to bargain, all depends on what variation you are looking for
