What could I expect if I bred a female Snow to a male Normal ?

i think you would get all 100% het for snow, but dont quote me on that...
I'm sure Simon will be around to let you know for sure... LOL

What would that look like?

They would all look normal but they would carry the gene for both amelanistic (orange and white) and anerystic(sp?)(black and white). When an animal has both of these traits visible you get a snow. So if you bred the babies together you would get all snows. If you were to breed one of the babies to an amel you would get amels and same for the anery.

That's right.
But there are a lot of "normal" corns out there that carry the albino or anery gene. Your normal may carry either of those. In that case, your snakes would all be either albino or anery (depends which gene it carries if either) and be het for the other trait.

All of the babies would look normal, but would be het for snow (amelanistic & anerythristic).
If you were to breed these 100% hets together, you would theoretically get:
6.25% Normal
12.5% Het Anery
6.25% Anery
12.5% Het Amel
25% Het Amel & Anery
12.5% Anery, het amel
6.25% Amel
12.5% Amel, het anery
6.25% Snow
If you bred the 100% het babies back to the snow parent, you would theoretically get:
25% Het amel, het anery
25% Anery, het amel
25% Amel, het anery
25% Snow
Hope that helps :)

Yup
they would all be normal het snows.
What do they look like?
Well they would look like the dad but carrying the genes of the mom.
But other things could pop up if the male is actually het for something like amel, anery. So by breeding them together you'll have a chance to figure out what the male is actually het for~

I imagine a lot of the normals that are around are hets. There aren't a lot of people doing normal/normal breeding are there?

Yup... don't expect anything but don't be too surprised either. :)

Thanks everyone. What I'd really like to have is an Amel (with white), Candy Cane or Reverse Okeetee. Those are nice can't seem to find any where I am.
