and would you say it looks healthy for a 7-8 month old leo, or do you think i should be making her a little fatter?
She looks relativly fat and I would think that she I a hypo or tang hypo.
Matt
is it normal for them to lose the black spots on there back with each shed?

I'd say a hypo carrot tail.

I tend to go with the hypo carrot tail as well. What was she sold to you as?
i have no idea, i bought her at the nov 03 in mississauga cause i liked her colours and stuff, wasn't buying it for breeding or anything like that, just to have as a pet, so i was just curious now. any idea as to what she would be worth if i sold her, not planning on it, just curious, i paid $40 for her, she is in perfect health, eats like crazy, never had any problems at all.

Do you remember who you got her from? It would be hard to sell her as a hypo tang if you can't say for sure. She may just be a very beautiful normal with some tang blood in her... If you remembered the breeder it may narrow it down a bit, but for $40 I'm guessing it's a tang breeder.

I would definitely go with the hypo tang then. They tend to sell mostly tang, golden, and red stripes from what I've seen.

Only $40 for it? I'm thinking you got lucky. S/he's quite orange. They could've easily sold it for more than that.
HQ's lines are quite amazing, beautiful geckos.

thanks for all the comments on s/he. that's all i paid for it, and have loved every moment with it so far. HQ Reptiles has a very good line of gecko's and that's why i bought my new albino one from them as well ...
