a few eggs

hey

i have 10 eggs in my incubator. 2 of which should be hatching soon. I have noticed in the passed while that they seemed to have gotten bigger. They should be hatching soon, but i thought they kind of swell down a bit before they hatch. What id also like to know is much longer will it take because i read that it usually takes around 50 - 55 days. The 2 were layed on Feb 23 which is almost 60 days. How much longer will it take???

They can take a lot longer sometimes. My first 2 this year took 63 days, but it varies depending on the temps you are using.

my temps are about 81.5

That's around the same as mine... don't be surprised if you see them hatch within the next couple of days. Have you candled them at all? I've had them hatch as early as 46 days (higher temps for the last 4 weeks though) and as long as 70. Keep us posted when they hatch.

Your hatchlings are imminent, Matt. Watch for the eggs to swell, and then you may see them start to sweat (but not always). If you see the egg sweating moisture, that baby is likely less than 2 hrs away..... good luck!
