You've probably heard the one about clutch mates hatching close together? They apparently hatch within a day, at most two days apart? If it's longer, the second egg is dead, may as well pitch it?

I never pitch an egg unless it's guaranteed dead - fuzzy, collapsed flat, stinks or explodes.
One particular clutch of PA X DH PA leo eggs proves my point.

Egg #1 hatched April 1, the other egg stayed put, no sign of hatching. (Notice the bunny tattoo on her head?

Nothing from egg #2 after 48 hours. Nothing after 7 days.... Nothing after 10 days..... still a perfect looking leo egg that's way 'late' by the standards set by her clutch mate's hatching.

April 12, 11 pm I checked, and there's a nose sticking out of the egg. Just after midnight, Apr 13, day 74....

First PA for me, though I've got lots of DH PA hatchlings, albinos het for patternless, and patternless het for albino.

Couldn't have hatched at a better time... the PA and I are twins. Happy Birthday to us. :) :) :)

I've never herd that myth myself, but that is one sweet looking little gecko.
