Here is a look at a few diffrent sized Vision cages.
If you go with visions you need to take some wood and screww it around the lips at the fron so that nothing can hide in them. only takes a secound.
I use cypress mulch for a substrate filled to the lip, for a hide box I placed foot soaking tubes with a cut out hole in a corner of the cage and covered it with mulch. Then added some plastic and silk plants for looks. Untill you get familiar with the animal the less obsticals in the cage the better. Also all these cages have cobras in them so unless you can put up with a lot of cleaning dont get cobras. All are easily made locking with simple window clasp locks or by drilling in to the slide track and putting a small lock.

This is actually not the best or safest cage straight from the factory so to speak. It is a 20 Tall All Glass with a screen top. It hold a Popes Viper. I say it is not the best as with just a screen top the vipers can get their fangs trough and envenomate you. So to make it a more appropriate cage you can go to a hardware store and get some plexyglass have it cut to fit to the inside diamater of the screen top and drill holes in it 1/4 inch plexy works great. Add two locks to the sides and you have a nice arboreal. I like to paint the outside sides and back flat black.

These are mine....... Plain and simple...... Easy to work with the snakes when there is not a tone of brush in the way..... It is not all of them but this is basicly what all my cages look like....

So venemous snakes dont really need hides, or do those specific ones burrow in the substrate...awesome tanks and thats my favourite venemous snake btw, next to spitters :D

Gregg I think gaboons are probably the nicest looking snake. Do they have hides or do they not need them?
Edit: thats way too weird Bartman, you posted well I was typing

I do not give gaboons hides because they bury them selves in the substrate........ I put hides in with them but they do not use them...... They are comfortable enough hiding in the substrate as they do in the wild......

The Precision Caging is so heat efficient, that I generally never have to use above a 25 watt bulb. I was concerned at first having pitvipers in there, thinking they may strike the bulb, but none have ever done that. Plus the pulbs dont put off much heat. Wait until you see the new hot room :) 12 "Lizard Cages", 6 Smalls, 3 large, a huge Custom Wood Cage, and a hinged door lockable rack system. I finally got everything on casters :D
