So today i met up with member dani33, thanks again, and bought a female albino leopard gecko. I was so happy since ive been looking for one for quite a while. So now i was hoping to match it up with a male albino i had but he looks a little to agressive now..atleast i hope only now! I tried to just see how they'd get along out of their tanks and the male came up to her and started to wiggle his tail really quickly and sniffed her, under neath as you can see by one of the pics, and then jumped but completelly missed so I got scared and right away took him back to his tank. What does this mean? He already knocked around a different female i had, and bit her leg up pretty bad. Ill be so mad if hes a crazy male...anyway here are three pics! the new ones the less pink one btw

Bartman: You need to quarentine your new gecko_foratleast 30 days. Get a fecal done and after the quarentine, if there are no problems you can put them together.

Nice albino :D

Shaking his tail is totally normal. When the male shakeshis tail at another gecko, it's to find out if the other gecko is a male or female. If female, it does not shake its tail, and the male should start the "process". But if the other one is male, it will also shake its tail, and they will probably fight.

Actually the male with stick his tounge out to "taste" for indorphanes (sp) then he will vibrate his tail and if the female is not ready she will wiggle not vibrate her tail so that he will be destracted for the "get away."

Some times males get really excited over certain females. I had a blizzard male that I bred to 4 different females. My females that he had bred to before he just kinda did his thing and that was that. I also have another leopard, Chewbacca, who has never been bred to before. If I put him in with her he went crazy!!!! His tail would start going and he would bite at her and just act like a drunk sex-crazed animal! Unfortunatley, because Chewbacca is an 11 inch female and he was only 9 inches she would just toss him off of her. So maybe he just really likes your girl!!!

Bartman: Males grab a female by the tail to hold her, he then bites her around the back of the neck and breeds... He was simply trying to make some babies :P

Just for your future porposes this has nothing to do with making sure you quarantine:

" know who i bought it from and i know its forsure very healthy"

Things like this are the reason a collection or two can be infested with one parasite or another. Not that Dani33 has unhealthy pets, but lets say they just contracted something last week that she still has no idea about. It comes to light in a couple weeks, and guess what? Now BOTH your geckos have it. This is not rare. It has been known to happen. And could be a VERY sad situation should it be something fatal which was passed because you didn't simply quarantine for a couple months. Just a suggestion.

Always always quarantine ANY animal brought into your home no matter where it comes from. :)

I was going to say the same thing until i saw your post marisa. It has nothing to do with the breeder even if you trust them 100% and they do have the healthies herps. It's a well needed precaution, marisa gave a all to common example. It does happen and it will continue to happen to people, unless they take that extra step just incase.

well since they were fighting their now seperated anyways..thanks!

so in lets say a month, should i put them together..maybe im just scared, but when i see them bite i get worried..should i just let it go..how do i know when its getting to much?

If you see that it goes on for too long or there is blood you should seperate them. I would go for 2 months quarentine just to make sure.

During quarentine i would also get a fecal done *as a precaution*.
