Why do the other forums always close a void thread when the truth shows its pretty face????? Stuff like that makes me love this site more and more......

LOL west hill, its cool....... It does not matter what anyone says...... They are set in their minds...... I can give a rats, you know what, about those other forums now.........LOL....... They tried to shoot down everyone that spoke against voids including BW, Scott, Ray, MsTT, Seamus, myself, and anyone else that has a functional brain in their heads....... They even went as far as to make fun of peoples spelling to try and discredit them....... They also tried to discredit someone because they did not fill out their profile.......What does that tell you about their group????? Thanks.....

That is a pisser..I wanted to go back and see where it all had gone thus far. It did not seem to many folks were against the whole void thing there... what a shame.

Honestly though...I feel it was nearly a lost cause at those forums. I was reading a thread from this kid who had aquired a Timber rattlesnake, I believe anyhow, and kept the thing in a 10 gallon with a silly rodent lid. Not even substrate, just a snake, glass aquarium and the crappy lid. I have used the lids before to double up on my gartersnake cages, very crappy lids to say the least. Not many folks had any great comments on what that kid was doing wrong, but rather for the most part just commented even more garbage that they thought would be a great idea. I truly doubt that anyone from those forums has much of a clue on how one should be responsable in the ownership and handling of venomous species.

Ewww Ewww Ewww ME ME ME.. Teacher I know. They should be kept in Locking escape proof cages withen a locked secure escape proof room... And the key to the room only in the hands of the keeper/keepers and key to the cages in a locked box.. Damn that sounds pretty damn hard to get at them then lets see... I key to get in the house+ 1 key to get in the room + 1 key to get to the keys +1 key to get to the cage = 4 keys alone before you even work with the animal 4 safety checks already in place. Did I get an "A"

It was certainly amusing when the forum moderator was arguing with me by quoting an authoritative web site....which turned out to be mine. LOL I suspect that his subsequent complaints were motivated primarily by embarrassment.

Anyhow all the posts pointing out how funny that was have been removed, no great surprise. I'm torn between writing off that forum as a waste of time and staying around to answer the occasional question about venomous snake keeping that seems to really needs answering. What do you folks think?

That site appears to be more of a who can kiss whoms buttocks best. I am not certain if any of them really care to learn at all. If someone disagree's with them its a bash fest and a butt kiss fest. Also a who can rack up the most post for the names that go under their name such as reptile expert or reptile guru etc etc. Personaly i can careless if its post 1 or post 1 million. No one deserves to be treated disrespectful unless they deserve it. Just because you dont have who you are in a profile they discredit you as no one and know nothing. The Void thread there was actually me at my most childish in awhile after my first post. Instead of them asking for information they belittled. Could you have imagined BGF or WW going there and posting and being told they were not { credable} just for not saying whom they were in there profile.HELL you were basically told you were plagerizing from Snakegetters. I saw that and almost pissed myself laughing.

One last note before i go to work. When someone says something incorrect myself i would hope someone would correct me either via forum , e-mail or phone. when someone ask for evidance and a person provides what they know and then its backed by a secound or third or by other people in conversations it still may not be written fact but enough people saying the same thing there has to be a shred of proof to it. You yourself when we talked last week made me stop and think more about venom and digestion. I will not bring that up again one way or another till a true scientific study is complete your points were very sincable to me and though it corrected me you did it in a way i would expect people to. By the way thank you for that.

That incident on the Bob Clark forums was pretty funny. I didn't set up the Snake Getters site to be a platform for my personal ego, so my name does not need to be on every page in large animated blinking banners. LOL The only important stuff on the site is the information on how to safely and humanely trap, handle and care for venomous snakes. I am not important, and my personal information should not be of interest to anyone who isn't dating me. LOL So it isn't on the site.

Most people don't actually know that it's my site, and that's fine. It's not a huge secret or anything, but I don't see any point in promoting myself when it's only the information that is important.

LOL, that thread was cracking me up. I love seeing people trying to backpeddle. I have an image in mind of Lyncheyez looking around saying "uhhh, ok guys, how do I turn this back around so I don't look like an idiot?"

TT, personally, I brouse through every once in a while just looking for venomous threads.

I've added the link and quote to the signature of just about every web forum I frequent... And got banned for refusing to remove it from the forum the quote and thread were from!

KS is even better than that one.... Seamus, you can just go to a different comp and get back on but it is hardly worth it........
