Someone once told me that leo's wouldn't really use hammocks.

Hmmmm, try telling that to Stubby

I used to have one in mine and durning the night a few of them would go rest on it for hours. They also say leos don't like to climb, try telling that to mine they are not listening.

YEP!!!!!!!

I have heard that sooooo much about them not liking to climb.
HA!!!!!
I have 7 and most, if not all will climb.
That hammock, has supported at least 5 leo's at one time :)
They climb the homemade decor, they climb and hide in the "garland" leaf stuff I have in the tank, etc.

I say blah to those who say they don't climb.
Heck, anything that can grip your finger/hand the way they do has gotta be a climber LOL.

I made a hammock for my mice once. They ended up chewing it to pieces, but they did use it a bit before destroying it.

They WILL climb low rises, stumps, rocks and boulders etc, but they don't climb up tree trunks and buildings like an arboreal gecko would. Even terrestrial geckos will climb a bit to survey their domain, they don't stay on the ground 100% of the time. The 'they don't climb' characteristic refers to them being terrestrial, as opposed to arboreal.
